Good Food by Ferneau Moves to Argenta Soon

Though details are still getting ironed out, Executive Chef Donnie Ferneau and business partner Donna Burnett have confirmed that Good Food by Ferneau will SOON occupy the space that was formerly Argenta Market.  It's a great space in an excellent location.  You can expect to see Ferneau's signature GQ style inside the new space with a farm table feel and couches in a warm atmosphere.  If it's like his home in Hillcrest, there may be some Elvis elements.  I think it's a good idea, anyway.

The vision has been in the making for four years, Donnie said.  He launched Good Food just under two months ago, and the demand has been great.  Several of us regulars have congregated in his kitchen, either waiting for our food to take to go or devouring it on the spot while we visit.  The current atmosphere matches the smaller price tag, let's say.  I admit that the move to Argenta will have me there more often.  Probably because a full bar will be available with beer and wine.  And a cozier ambience.
Try it one time and I believe you'll love it.  I've been on a health kick for a while now, but even if you don't care about being healthy, the food is still delicious.  You may be surprised how much your taste buds approve and how full you feel.  One Good Food regular Nick said he lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks.  Without working out!  That's my kinda weight loss program!
The team at Good Food by Ferneau utilizes local and seasonal ingredients when possible.  You have to agree these strawberries look sumptuous.  I have no picture, but I know that Good Food will have plenty of protein from the master of smoke in Arkansas himself, Travis McConnell of Butcher and Public.  It's a Win/Win, guys...

Other ideas for the new place include weekend supper club, cooking classes, live entertainment, throwback Ferneau night (We'll call it Rocket 22), catering, a great team of chefs catering to all types of cuisine, and (celebrity) chef friends from around the country dropping by for Chef Night.  Good Food will typically be open Monday - Saturday 7:30 am - 6:30 pm with gourmet delicatessen items and fresh juices then the occasional nightly event.

If you don't live in Little Rock, AR, you can soon order Good Food products to be shipped to you nationwide.  Keep up with all the fast - paced changes on their Facebook page!

Also, more about Good Food here:  Good Food opens.

The Argenta Arts District is just 5 minutes from my office.  At the River Market, take the Scott Street bridge over just off Markham, and it becomes Main Street in North Little Rock.  A few red lights down, you'll reach Good Food on the left at the end of the block.
