KIDS' RECIPES

Let's face it, our kids don't always want to eat what Daddykins and I are eating.  I thought I should chronicle some of the kids' grub that we're cooking in the Red Kitchen, in case I'm so old and senile when my kids have their own, and I may not remember what I used to cook for them.

Gianna & Sasha, I hope my little ideas are helpful to you someday when you have your own munchkins to feed....

Sasha's Favorite Buttered Pasta
Prepare any pasta per packaged instructions.  Drain, return to pan with 1 - 2 tablespoons of butter, and mix with shredded Parmigiano Reggiano (the good stuff) or any common parmesan (the economical stuff).

TIP:  Kids love eating things in cute dishes like the one shown here, especially in their favorite color.  When there's a lid involved, you have the added "TADA" factor!

Gianna's Turkey Cheese Rollups with
Boar's Head Delicatessen Mustard

Is it rocket science to put together some turkey & provolone, roll 'em up, then slice for your child?  No.  But to be honest, I never thought of it until Sam's Club had them on display as samples one Saturday morning around lunch time!  My kids loved them, and I've been making them regularly for them since then.

TIP:  When you add their initial on their snack plate with a condiment such as Boar's Head Delicatessen mustard or ketchup or whatever you have on hand, they thank you with such delight, it warms your heart.
